British pair hit Storm
Ian Sibbit, who has joined Melbourne Storm from Warrington Wolves
Sibbit had Super League experience with Warrington
Young British forwards Ian Sibbit and Keith Mason have arrived in Australia to complete their moves to NRL side Melbourne Storm.

Both players have signed two-year contracts with the 1999 Australian champions and will begin pre-season training on Saturday.

"We are glad to be here," said 21-year-old Sibbit, a centre or second row who joined the Storm from Warrington.

"It has taken a long time and we are a bit jet-lagged but really looking forward to the challenge.

Keith Mason joins from Wakefield Trinity

"We've heard really great things about the Storm and Melbourne and we are really looking forward to meeting all the players."

Welsh international prop forward Mason, who moved from Wakefield Trinity, said: "It's going to be a big challenge but we just want to try and fit in and win a spot in the team.

"I feel really lucky getting this opportunity and I hope I can repay the faith the Storm has put in me," added the 19-year-old.

The cash-strapped Wildcats are thought to have received 35,000 from Melbourne and will have first option on Mason's services if and when he returns to Britain.
