Naylor clinches Bulls deal
Shane Rigon and Michael Withers tackle Wigan's Kris Radlinski
Shane Rigon (r) could be on his way back to Australia
Grand Final star Scott Naylor has been rewarded with a new two-year contract with Bradford.

The centre faced an uncertain future after failing to secure a regular berth in coach Brian Noble's starting line-up.

But he was an integral member of the Bulls side that beat Wigan 37-6 in the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on Saturday.

"He was sensational in the first half," said Noble.

"He bashed some quality opposition and showed he is still a quality centre himself."

Naylor, who has scored 40 tries in 90 appearances since his move from Salford, was determined to stay with the Bulls.

World Club challenge

"I'm delighted it's been sorted out," he said. "I had a couple of other offers from Super League clubs and rugby union clubs, but I wanted to stay at Bradford."

However, the Bulls look set to lose utility man Shane Rigon, who has been targeted by the re-formed South Sydney club.

Rigon, who joined Bradford from Sydney City Roosters last year, could be replaced by Huddersfield's Brandon Costin.

Elsewhere, the Bulls' World Club challenge with NRL champions Newcastle Knights has been provisionally arranged for 26 January.

Bradford want the match to be played at Valley Parade, even though the ground does not have undersoil heating.
