Leeds boss predicts Harris return
Iestyn Harris
Iestyn Harris hs signed a four-year contract with Cardiff
The chief executive of Leeds Rhinos has predicted that Iestyn Harris will return to rugby league after playing for Wales in the rugby union World Cup.

Harris completed a 1.6m move from Leeds to rugby union club Cardiff on Friday.

But speaking on the BBC's Super League Show, Gary Hetherington said categorically that he could see Harris coming back to League.

"There is every chance that Iestyn will return to rugby league in what is likely to be a long future for Iestyn," he said.

"Iestyn has said for some time that he wants to play for Wales, but he's a league player at heart."

Harris has signed a four-year deal with Cardiff and Welsh Rugby Union. The Oldham-born 24-year-old qualifies for Wales through his Welsh father and Grandfather.

Hetherington has just returned from Australia, where he was negotiating with players he hopes to sign for the Rhinos next season.

"Leeds don't just want big name players," said Hetherington. "We want a winning team and the club will sign the kind of players who will bring success to Headingley."

Leeds' Australian imports this year have failed to set Super League Six alight as Bradley Clyde and Brett Mullins have both been injured for much of the season.

On Saturday Leeds were heavily beaten by Bradford at Headingley, and the Rhinos hopes of making the end of season play-offs are under threat as London final six games are against weaker opposition.
