Boycott: A career in pictures
Boycott makes his Yorkshire and England debut in quick succession but has to work hard to perfect his technique
Geoffrey Boycott makes his debut for Yorkshire in 1962, receiving his first England cap two years later

Boycott notches up his 100th century at Headingley in 1977 to help England win the Ashes
Boycott abandons Test cricket in 1973, returning in 1977 to score his 100th century and help win the Ashes

Boycott's England career was outstanding and his methodical approach to the game made him a lethal Test opponent

Though often accused of selfish play, Boycott set several cricketing records
In 1981 Boycott goes past Sir Garfield Sobers' record of 8032 Test runs, making 105 in Delhi
