 Santiago Botero was 11 seconds faster than Lance Armstrong on the 52 km course  Armstrong lost a long distance time trail for the first time in four years  Colombia's Santiago Botero wins stage nine after completing the trail in a time of 1h02'18  Despite this surprise defeat Armstrong is second overall in the race  Botero shows his delight as his victory is confirmed  Britain's David Millar holds the white jersey as the Tour's best young rider and is seventh overall  Armstrong's surprise defeat means Spain's Igor Gonz�lez de Galdeano holds onto the yellow jersey | |
