WORLD SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS
Date: 2-15 February Venue: Val d'Isere, France
Coverage: Ski Sunday, BBC Two/online, Sunday 8 February, 1630-1700 GMT

Fog has disrupted events at the World Ski Championships at Val d'Isere

The women's downhill race at the World Ski Championships was postponed on Sunday because of the poor weather conditions at Val d'Isere.

The race was delayed twice before being called off because of snow and poor visibility at the Rhone-Alps course.

Organisers said the blue-riband women's event should be rescheduled for Monday.

Heavy snow fell and thick fog also forced the cancellation of the men's third and final downhill training ahead of Monday's super combined event.
