Scots women pick up silver medals
Scottish skip Kelly Wood
Wood picked up her first international silver medal
Scotland's women had to settle for silver at the European Curling Championships after losing out 9-4 to Sweden in the final in Fussen, Germany.

Swedish skip Anette Norberg wrapped up an unprecedented seventh European title with a comfortable victory.

Disappointed Scots skip Kelly Wood said: "We didn't play well."

Despite a poor showing in the final, Wood, who won bronze at the Worlds in Aomori, Japan, in March, was pleased to score her first international silver.

"I've gone so many years without a medal and now I've got two in the same year," she said.

"I know gold is looming somewhere."
