Schild maintains winning sequence
Marlies Schild celebrates victory
Schild is 17 points ahead of Nicole Hosp in the World Cup standings
Marlies Schild continued her unbeaten run in the World Cup slalom this season with victory at Val d'Isere.

The Austrian clocked one minute, 46.15 seconds, 0.21 ahead of German Annemarie Gerg, to secure her third slalom win and take the overall World Cup lead.

The 25-year-old has also secured victories in Levi, Finland and Aspen, Colorado so far this campaign.

Therese Borssen was third while Lindsey Kildow, who won Thursday's downhill, was eliminated in the second run.

Unlike their male counterparts, the Austrian women's team are having an impressive campaign and and have won every slalom, giant slalom, super-G and combined race so far this season.

"It was a very difficult race," said Schild, the Olympic slalom bronze medallist.
