The former Austrian ski coach at the centre of a Winter Olympics doping row has taken legal action against Jacques Rogge and Dick Pound for defamation. Walter Mayer's lawyer filed the suit against International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Rogge at Vienna District Court on Friday.
Two days earlier, Mayer lodged a similar suit against World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) chief Dick Pound.
Mayer is accusing Rogge and Pound of "tarnishing his reputation".
The complaints refer to statements the pair made during the Turin Olympics.
Mayer was banned from attending any Olympic Games following allegations of blood doping at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games.
He travelled to Turin but fled after police raids on the living quarters of Austria's cross-country and biathlete teams.
Mayer later crashed his car into a police blockade just over the Austrian border and ended up in a psychiatric hospital.
