Contreras was impressive in both runs in Colorado
Spain's Maria Jose Rienda Contreras claimed her first victory of the season by winning the women's World Cup giant slalom in Aspen on Saturday.

The 30-year-old dominated both runs to set a combined time of one minute 57.17 seconds and beat overall World Cup champion Anja Paerson by 0.34 seconds.

Austria's Kathrin Zettel was third in a combined time of 1:57.53, with Croatia's Janica Kostelic in fourth.

Rienda finished second in the overall giant slalom standings last year.
