Thailand's Pawina Thongsuk
Thongsuk is the Olympic champion in the 75kg class
Thailand's Pawina Thongsuk broke the clean and jerk world record on her way to winning gold in the 63kg category at the Asian Games in Doha.

She lifted 110kg in the snatch and a new world record 142kg in the clean and jerk for an aggregate of 252kg.

China's Ouyang Xiaofang won silver with a total of 247kg, forfeiting her final clean and jerk after she collapsed during her second attempt.

Myanmar's Faw Thaw Yae took bronze with an aggregate of 227kg.

"I've been at the Asian Games three times and this is my first gold medal so I'm very pleased," said Pawina.

The 17-year-old revealed she had been undergoing intensive physiotherapy on a right knee injury sustained before the event.
