Homeless Saints ready for season
New Orleans coach Jim Haslett
Coach Jim Haslett backs a temporary move to Baton Rouge
New Orleans Saints will start their NFL season with successive away games at Carolina and the New York Giants as the city recovers from Hurricane Katrina.

NFL officials say it is unlikely the team will be able to play at their Louisiana Superdome home this season.

The venue was used as a temporary refuge but cannot be used now because of damage sustained in the hurricane.

Team officials say they want to play their home games at Louisiana State University in nearby Baton Rouge.

The Giants match was due to be played at the Superdome but has been moved.

The next scheduled home game is against Buffalo on 2 October, but it is uncertain where the match will be played.
