Great Britain's European Junior champion Will Clarke finished third in the Salford BG World Cup Series race. Clarke crossed in one hour, 54 minutes and 46 seconds to finish behind Australian pair Brad Kahlefeldt and current world champion Peter Robinson.
The women's race was won by New Zealand's Samantha Warriner (2:04.27), ahead of Mariana Ohata (Brazil) and fellow Kiwi Andrea Hewitt.
Britain's Liz Blatchford crashed when leading the bike stage to finish fifth.
