Drinkhall is the reigning British champion |
Paul Drinkhall is up to seventh in the latest ITTF World Junior rankings after his win at the Canadian Junior event. The 17-year-old English star beat Belgium's current world junior number one Benjamin Rogiers in the singles final in Montreal earlier this month.
Middlesbrough's Drinkhall also teamed up with Gavin Evans to win the junior doubles title, and they were joined by Danny Reed in winning the team crown.
Evans made it an event to savour for England by also taking the cadet title.
