Vicky Botwright put the top seeds ahead, coming from 2-1 behind in a tense match to beat Engy Kheirallah 9-3 8-10 4-9 9-7 9-2. Egyptian Omneya Abdel Kawy then retired with a leg injury, while losing 9-2 9-2 to Tania Bailey, to settle the tie. England won the title for the first time since 2000 in Sheffield and for the sixth time in all.
