Star player Rob Priaulx was unable to stop Guernsey falling to defeat by Belgium

Guernsey's men's A team were unable to defend their crown at the Channel Island International Pool tournament.

The 2009 winners were knocked out at the semi-final stage by Belgium, to whom they lost 8-5.

Guernsey also lost their inter-insular title to Jersey, with their rivals coming back from 5-4 down to win 11-5.

Guernsey's ladies also had a poor tournament losing the inter-insular tie against Jersey 8-6, and being knocked out by Somerset in the main draw.

In the men's draw, Belgium followed up their semi-final win over Guernsey by defeating Jersey in the final to take the title.
