Mark Allen will win 20,000 if he overcomes Ding Junhui

Mark Allen defeated World Championship runner-up Shaun Murphy 5-2 to make the final of the Wuzhoo International Jiansu Classic in China on Saturday.

The Antrim player, who reached the semi-finals at the Crucible last month, won three straight frames after the game was tied at 2-2.

Defending champion Ding Junhui will be Allen's opponent in Sunday's decider after he beat Marco Fu 5-1.

Mark Selby made a 147 break but still lost his group match against Joe Perry.

It is a first maximum in competition for the Leicester cueman.

He made it in the opening frame of the Group Two match at the tournament in Wuxi, but Perry levelled after a scrappy frame and pinched a 2-1 victory with a break of 74.

Allen made the semi-finals in the 12-player tournament after finishing second in Group One.

He started with defeats by Junhui and Ryan Day before beating Stephen Hendry, Peter Ebdon and Li Hang.
