Cope is in a relaxed mood ahead of the second round
Longton's Jamie Cope has set his sights on a successful World Championships after progressing to the last 16 of the Crucible event.
The world number 17 became the first qualifier of the competition to knock out a top seed when he beat Joe Perry 10-6 on Tuesday.
Cope told BBC Radio Stoke: "To play the way I played was really pleasing.
"I've been to two ranking finals but it's good to do well here. If I'm playing well I have every chance.
Cope, who has the nickname Shotgun because of his speed around the table, wasted little time in the second session of the match against Perry.
The 23-year-old won six of the seven frames played to set up a second-round meeting on Saturday with either John Higgins or Michael Hoult.
Looking ahead to either of his opponents, Cope said:"I've had a couple of wins against both of them and they've both beaten me, it's going to be tough."
