Antrim's Mark Allen suffered an early exit in Glasgow

Antrim's Mark Allen lost 5-1 to Michael Holt of England in the first round of the Royal London Watches Grand Prix in Glasgow on Sunday night.

The heavy defeat brought further disappointment for Allen after he made an early exit in the recent Roewe Shanghai Masters.

The world-ranked number 16 player lost 5-2 to young Chinese star Liang Wenbo in that tournament.

Allen had reached the quarter-finals of the Northern Ireland Trophy in August.
