Stoke player Cope is rising up the snooker rankings like an express train.
Cope, 22, reached two finals last season - the Grand Prix and China Open - a feat that made people sit up and take notice of the former Challenge Tour winner.
During the Grand Prix, Cope earned 20,000 after posting a 147 maximum against Michael Holt.
He has made a slow start this season having dropped from 22nd to 26th in the provisional rankings.
Unfortunately for Jamie he faces world champion John Higgins in the first round at Telford.
