O'Sullivan apologised after walking out of the match in York |
Ronnie O'Sullivan will not appeal against the 20,800 fine he was handed for his walk-out at the Maplin UK Championship in December 2006. His solicitor, Leo Martin, said he "wishes instead to concentrate on his preparations for the upcoming season".
O'Sullivan was trailing Stephen Hendry 4-1 in the quarter-finals when he missed a pot, shook the hands of Hendry and referee Jan Verhaas and walked out.
The former world champion was also docked 900 ranking points.
O'Sullivan will start the new season when he takes part in the 110sport.com Euro-Asia Masters Challenge in Hong Kong next week.
