Ding is one of the game's brightest young stars | China's star snooker player Ding Junhai won his third gold of the Asian Games when he beat compatriot Liang Wenbo 4-2 in the singles final in Doha. The world number four had already won team gold with Tian Pengfei and Liang as well as sharing the doubles title. He also won the 2005 China Open and beat Ronnie O'Sullivan in this season's Northern Ireland Trophy final. Ding's next engagement is the UK Snooker Championships in York, where he plays Ryan Day in the second round.
