Allen goes through despite loss | Antrim's Mark Allen won four of his six round-robin matches | Mark Allen is through to the final stages of the Grand Prix in Aberdeen despite losing his last round-robin qualifier on Wednesday. The former world amateur champion from Antrim was defeated 3-2 by Alfie Burden at Pointins in Prestatyn. However, Allen finished with four wins from six games and that was enough for a top two position in his group. Kent-based Northern Ireland player Gerard Greene is also through after claiming runner-up spot in his group.
