Ebdon said Murphy's win was good for the sport |
Peter Ebdon was magnanimous in defeat after losing 17-12 to Shaun Murphy in the World Championship semi-final. "It's a fantastic result for snooker. He's very professional and I'm very pleased for him," he said.
"He's a magnificent young player and I wish him all the best for the final. I don't think anyone could have played any better, it was virtually faultless.
"He's beaten three previous world champions in this tournament. It's tremendous for the sport."
