World Snooker Championship finalist Shaun Murphy said he was delighted his gameplan worked against Peter Ebdon. "I thought I would keep it long and keep it tight. If I got my chance I made sure I didn't not to miss any easy balls," said the 22-year-old qualifier.

"My friends, family and coach said I could win the Worlds. I would like to give a big thank you to everyone who's been with me since I was a child."
