GB coxless pair Andy Hodge and Peter Reed admit New Zealand, who beat them at Henley, are faster than them going into the Lucerne World Cup regatta.
Hodge and Reed lost in the Henley semi-final to Eric Murray and Hamish Bond, and face the Kiwi duo again this weekend.
But they tell BBC Sport's Louise Lawler their focus is on August's World Championships in Poznan, Poland, by when they hope to have found extra speed.
Watch them in action at the third World Cup regatta, live on the red button and BBC Sport website on Sunday, with highlights on BBC Two on Monday, 1300-1400 BST.
Look out for more from Hodge and Reed when the Olympic Dreams series returns to BBC One early in 2010.
