Guthrie has represented England at Under-21 level before

Jersey teenager Serena Guthrie made her senior England debut against Malawi Queens in Coventry on Wednesday.

The Team Bath player came on in the final quarter as England won 56-40 to seal a 2-0 series victory.

The centre, 17, told BBC Radio Jersey: "It was a good experience and a special moment because it was my first cap.

"Standing in the centre circle was nerve-wracking. I was thinking: 'This is it, this is my debut so I've got to make it good.'"

She added: "But after that I lost all the nervousness and just got straight into the game."
