Neilson has won three cups in his three years coaching Nottingham

Nottingham Panthers player-coach Corey Neilson is to return to the club next season for a fourth year in charge.

Neilson led the club to a double this season, winning both the Challenge Cup and the Elite League Play-Offs, despite a disappointing league campaign.

Panthers finished fourth, and there had been speculation that Neilson could be replaced, but general manager Gary Moran said: "It was a no-brainer.

Neilson added: "This is a great club, and the best place to be in the UK."
