Nottingham Panthers will face Belfast Giants in this season's final of the Challenge Cup.

The Giants claimed their place despite a 2-1 defeat in Cardiff on Wednesday, as they secured a 5-2 aggregate win.

The final takes place over two legs and Panthers, who won the competition last season, will play their home game on Tuesday, 8 March.

It is not yet known when Belfast will hold their leg of the final but details are expected shortly.

Panthers have won the trophy in two of the last three seasons and beat Cardiff in last year's final.
