Elite League leaders Cardiff Devils hit back to beat Nottingham Panthers in overtime at the Cardiff Bay Arena.

Mark Smith put Devils ahead but goals from David-Alexandre Beauregard, Robert Lachowicz and Jeff Heerema saw the visitors lead at the end of the first.

Matthew Myers made it 4-1 but Jon Pelle's double kept the hosts in touch.

Rob Bellamy netted for Panthers in the third period but another Pelle goal and one from Craig Weller tied the scores and Pelle won it in the extra period.
