Hull Stingrays boss wants a win over Braehead

Hull Stingrays coach Sylvain Cloutier wants his side to bounce back quickly after their four game unbeaten run came ended with a 4-2 defeat by Dundee.

The Stingrays were 3-1 winners at Coventry on Saturday night but then lost to the Scottish side the following evening after a seven-hour bus trip.

"It is a bump in the road and we have to regroup for Wednesday," Cloutier told BBC Radio Humberside.

Hull get the chance to return to winning ways at home to Braehead.

The Stingrays went to Coventry looking to secure their second win in three weeks in the Skydome and came away on top thanks to goals from Jason Silverthorn, Kurtis Dulle and a late empty-net marker from Andrew Coburn.

Cloutier said: "Give the guys credit, they battled hard and had to kill a lot of penalties. We've had a very tough schedule.

"You are always looking to steal some points from the big teams but to get six from the last three games is a great effort and it's all credit to the guys, they are the ones going out there and producing."

And they looked on track in Dundee when Lee Esders bagged his first goal of the season to put them in front in the second minute.

But the Stars scored four unanswered gaols to claim the points and Coburn's second goal of the weekend was merely a consolation.

Cloutier had little complaint: "It was a disappointing result but give Dundee credit, they played well and deserved to win.

"They were the better team in the first period and they out-worked us and we didn't play like we have in the last few weeks."
