Cardiff Devils won a thrilling overtime Elite League clash with second-placed Nottingham Panthers 3-2 on Sunday.

Corey Neilson gave Nottingham the lead inside the opening 90 seconds, and Sean McAslan doubled the lead just before the end of the first period.

Mark Smith dragged the Devils back into the game with a superb shot from Mark Richardson's 23rd-minute pass.

Ben Davies drew Cardiff level before Mike Hartwick snatched a late winner as the Devils consolidated fourth spot.
