Coventry Blaze will end 2009 at the top of the Elite League if they can beat struggling Hull Stingrays at the Hull Arena on Wednesday. The Blaze are currently level on points with Nottingham Panthers at the top of the league standings, but have played four fewer games. In contrast, Hull lie bottom of the table, five points behind Edinburgh. It will be the fourth meeting between the two sides this season, with Blaze winning the three previous matches.
