Guildford Flames demolished Bracknell Bees on Sunday with an 11-5 victory in the English Premier League Cup. Two goals from David Savage helped the the Flames to a 5-0 lead by the end of the first period. Rob Lamey and Lukas Smital continued the onslaught for the away side, before the Bees fought back through Michal Pinc and Ashley Calvert to make it 7-2. But the Flames scored within 25 seconds of the third period restart, finishing up with a six-goal advantage. The Bees had pulled to within four goals after powerplay strikes from Jaroslav Cesky, Michal Pinc and Nicky Watt. But strikes from Savage and Nathan Rempel, who each scored three goals in the game, ensured an emphatic victory. The result meant the Flames scored 20 goals over the weekend, following a 9-1 win against Peterborough in a league fixture.
