Coventry Blaze secured a weekend double with victories over both Hull Stingrays and Sheffield Steelers. Sunday's 5-2 home win over the Steelers saw the Blaze climb to fourth in the Elite League, only two points off top spot with three games in hand. Coventry's goals came from Russ Cowley, Adam Calder, Dan Carlson, Luke Fulghum and man-of-the-match Derek Campbell. On Saturday, they kept their slim hopes of reaching the Challenge Cup semi-finals alive by winning 5-3 at Hull. The Blaze now go to Cardiff on Wednesday for their final group game, needing to win by three goals and for the Devils to then lose to Hull in their final match.
