Brad Voth scored one of the Devils' four goals at Edinburgh

Cardiff Devils go into Wednesday's Challenge Cup clash against Hull Stingrays in Cardiff Bay boosted by a four-point Elite League weekend.

The Devils followed up Saturday's 4-1 win at Edinburgh Capitals with a 5-3 win at Manchester Phoenix.

The victories brought the Devils to within a point of the fifth-placed Phoenix in the league.

Mike Prpich, Phil Hill, Tyson Teplitsky, Derek Campbell and Wes Jarvis were on target for the Devils.

Luke Fulghum (2) and David Beauregard scored for the hometown Phoenix, who staged a third period comeback after trailing 3-0.

Against Edinburgh skipper Brad Voth celebrated his return to from injury with a goal.

Prpich found the target twice and Neil Francis was the other scorer for the visiting Devils.

The victory made it three straight wins against the Capitals this season.

Neil Hay replied for the hometown Capitals, who had new permanent netminder Pasi Raitanen between the pipes.
