Telford Tigers lost their pre-season games against former League Champions Milton Keynes Lightening at the weekend despite some promising performances. Tigers lost the away fixture 8-2 and then lost again 2-0 in front of their fans at home. Player-coach Claude Dumas told BBC Radio Shropshire: "It was quite an even game and we had some good chances but we got tested against a good team." "I'm not happy we lost but we have many new players and it takes time to gel." He added: "We have two more practices and a game against Coventry before we start the league season. "Everybody was anxious to see us, after we nearly did not have a team, and we were all ready to go. "It shows that the people of Telford wanted a team and when we asked for their help they came. Without them we would not be here tonight."
