Hull Stingrays have completed the double signing of goalies Curtis Cruickshank and Andrew Jaszczyk. Canadian Cruickshank will be the Rays number one back-stopper and Jaszczyk will step up from junior hockey for the first time as the back-up netminder. Coach Rick Strachan told BBC Radio Humberside: "Curtis has done a job wherever he has been and always had a big save percentage. "More importantly he's very vocal on and off the ice." Cruickshank, 29, joins Hull from Basingtoke after previous spells in the Elite League with Nottingham and Newcastle. Before that he was a fourth-round draft pick for the NHL side Washington Capitals in America. Meanwhile, Strachan has handed 19-year old Hull junior Jaszczyk, a first chance at playing in the professional ranks having previously played for the Kingston Jets. "Not many guys want to be a back-up but Andrew wants an opportunity to learn and he will do that with us," he said. "It will be a stepping stone for him, he will practice with us four times a week and if we need him to play he will play."
