Peterborough Phantoms could be looking for a new head coach after Canadian Phil David was told he could not continue the role for a second season. David has been ruled out by work permit problems but Phantoms director Jon Kynaston said they have not yet given up trying to rectify the situation. He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "There's a will on both parts for Phil to come back. "We're trying one more route to see if we can get Phil in." But Kynaston added: "If that draws a blank we'll have to look at other candidates. "The timescales towards Phil being able to be here for next season look like they may be against us.  | An owners group willl discuss the size and shape of the league very soon Peterborough Phantoms director Jon Kynaston | "We won't be delaying much longer than we have already on this situation. "I hope by the end of next week we will have a coach in place for the coming season." Meanwhile the club have confirmed they will compete in the EPL next season after rivals Chelmsford dropped out due to financial problems. And Kynaston reassured fans that it would not affect Peterborough's involvement. "I don't see it impacting what we're doing here. "An owners group willl discuss the size and shape of the league very soon. "It might mean the competition's structure is slightly different but it certainly won't impact the business plans we're making."
