Coventry Blaze kept their hopes of treble glory alive after they beat Edinburgh Capitals to reach the Elite League play-off semi-finals.

Blaze overcame the Capitals 4-2 at the Skydome Arena on Sunday after defending a slender 1-0 lead from the first leg.

Barrie Moore, Jonathan Weaver and Danny Stewart all netted for Blaze.

Coach Paul Thompson has high praise for Stewart: "He came up with the big second goal. He's been playing well and has picked his game right up."

He told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire a few of his players were found wanting on the night: "I do not think three or four of our top players had their best games."

Blaze now face the Newcastle Vipers in the play-off semi-final on Saturday at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham.
