Newcastle Vipers defender Mark Gouett is confident his team-mates are ready for Belfast Giants ahead of their play-off opener in Dundalk on Saturday. "We had a great end to the season by beating Coventry and are confident that we can carry that forward into the Belfast series," he said. "For the last two weekends we've been at full strength, and the guys who have come back are now up to speed. "I'm looking forward to it and everyone in the squad feels the same way." The former London Blueliners player has enjoyed a good season at the heart of the defence, capped off with the Player of the Year award he received from coach Rob Wilson. "I'm not a flashy kind of player, so it was great to get the award," he said.
