Rampant Panthers ease past Bison
Mike Ellis
Ellis gave his promising youngsters plenty of ice-time
Robert Lachowicz and Sam Bullas grabbed their first Panthers goals as Nottingham eased to a 7-0 victory over Basingstoke at the National Ice Centre.

Panthers raced into a 4-0 lead by the end of the first period and led 2-0 after just four minutes.

Marc Levers scored the first, Lachowicz hit a second and goals from Jon Coleman and Mark Richardson made it four.

Bullas netted a fifth and Corey Neilson and Sean McAslan were also on target to put Panthers third in the Elite League.

It was great to see the youngsters doing so well

Mike Ellis

Coach Mike Ellis spoke of his pride about the goalscoring contributions from his British teenagers in the crushing win.

Ellis gave plenty of ice-time to youngsters James Neil, Joe Graham, Bullas and Lachowicz, as the quartet played regularly alongside the squad's import players.

Ellis said: "It was great to see the youngsters doing so well. The crowd enjoyed their contribution and it was even better that they managed to get on the scoresheet."
