Cardiff Devils suffered their 10th successive league loss after going down 5-1 at home to Nottingham Panthers. Johan Molin opened the scoring after eight minutes and Panthers doubled the lead with Corey Neilson getting his first of two strikes.
His second came at the end of the first period and Kevin Bergin made it 4-0 in the third period.
Patrik Wallenberg completed the rout before Max Birbraer grabbed a consolation goal.
The Devils are back in action on Saturday at Newcastle Vipers with Coventry Blaze the visitors to Cardiff on Sunday.
