Newcastle Vipers' play-off hopes suffered a blow as they lost 4-1 to Edinburgh at Murrayfield on Saturday. Canadian defenceman Burt Henderson made his debut after receiving clearance but was unable to stop the Vipers from slipping to defeat.
Forward Colin Shields put Newcastle a goal up, before the Capitals stormed back scoring four goals without reply.
Henderson came closest to narrowing the deficit when his shot came back off a post in the final period.
