Nottingham Panthers slipped to a 2-1 defeat on their visit to arch-rivals Sheffield Steelers on Saturday. The Steelers drew first blood when Joey Talbot took full advantage of a powerplay to fire his side in front.
Jeff Legue doubled the home side's lead early in the second period, only for Kevin Bergin to net for the Panthers.
But Nottingham could find no way past Steelers' netminder Jody Lehman during the final period despite registering 14 shots on target.
