The Cardiff Devils were held to a 2-2 draw in a Challenge Cup group stage clash against holders Coventry Blaze. Matt Towe put the Devils ahead after 13 minutes and Mike Garrow doubled the lead four minutes later thanks to an assist by Jason Silverthorn.
Blaze pulled one back in the second period with Dan Carlson slotting the puck past Phil Osaer.
And they got the equaliser from a power play goal by former Devils player Russ Cowley with nine minutes to go.
