Nottingham Panthers have agreed a deal to sign Canadian forward Kevin Bergin. Bergin, 25, scored 61 points in 60 games for Nottingham's Elite League rivals Basingstoke Bison last season before heading to play in Switzerland.
The Panthers have applied for a work permit with a view to getting clearance for Bergin to play as soon as possible.
Nottingham coach Mike Ellis said: "Kevin is a high energy, hard working player and he has told us he is really excited to be joining us."
