The Belfast Giants have moved to the top of the Elite League after Saturday night's victory over the Stingrays at the Odyssey. Goals from Todd Kelman and Jeff Hutchins put the Giants in early command and Mark Dutiaume added a third on 47 minutes.
Lee Mitchell pulled one back for the visitors in the final minute.
The Giants leapfrog Nottingham into first spot but the Panthers have three games in hand.
It was a welcome win for the home crowd after two successive defeats at the Odyssey.
