Great Britain ice hockey coach Paul Thompson wants to persuade players Tony Hand, David Longstaff and Shaun Johnson to return to the international set-up. Manchester Phoenix player-coach Hand last appeared for his country in 2002.
Longstaff has not figured for two years while Johnson, his Newcastle Vipers team-mate, last played in 2001.
Thompson said: "I want to provide a professional set-up and by doing that I know it will play a big part in luring our top stars back."
He added: "These guys are not just going to walk back into the programme because I phone them.
"But knowing all three of them well I do know they all care for the GB shirt and they all have great memories of times with the national team."
