Cardiff Devils' plans for the coming season are on hold as they wait for their new home to be completed. Their city centre rink is in the process of being demolished to make way for a �500m shopping complex.
Cardiff Council are to put up a temporary rink in Cardiff Bay, but the structure is in transit from Finland.
The council also have to decide who will manage the new rink, and the uncertainty is hampering coach Ed Patterson's plans for squad building.
Having already signed 12 squad members, Patterson is looking for another four to complete the line-up.
